Privacy Policy

The personal information you give us will be held by the Forestry Commission and the Felling License system host, SCISYS. We will use this information to help process your application. We will process your personal information in accordance with the requirements of current data protection legislation. If you do not provide the required information we will be unable to process your felling licence application. Providing the correct information ensures that any Felling permission granted is issued in accordance with the requirements of the Forestry Act (1967) and associated regulations.

 

All information provided by you will be held by Forestry Commission England for the period that the Felling Licence is valid and for the period required to cover conditions attached to the licence.

 

You have the right to request that your Felling Licence Online account be deleted and for any incomplete applications to be withdrawn at any time by notifying the Forestry Commission’s administration hub.

The Forestry Commission is registered as a data controller under the Data Protection Act 1998 (Registration No: Z6542658). The Forestry Commission’s Data Protection Officer can be contacted at informationrights@forestrycommission.gov.uk.

 

The Felling License Application system (Felling License Online) is hosted by SCISYS UK Limited (Co Registration No: 4373530) through AWS who are also registered as a Data Controller with the ICO where they act as a data controller. SCISYS UK Limited will process felling Licence application data on behalf of Forestry Commission England and are a data processor for the Forestry Commission in respect of the Felling Licence Application system.

 

You have a right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority the Information Commissioner’s Office (www.ico.org.uk).

 

The Forestry Commission may contact you about obtaining a felling licence as part of a Customer Survey. You are not obligated to respond to any survey.
